Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On September 25, 2026, Johnson Controls International plc (the “Company”) and Julie Brandt, the Company’s Vice President and President, Global Commercial and Field Operations, determined that Ms. Brandt will leave the Company as part of a planned transition made in connection with changes in the Company’s operating model. Ms. Brandt will transition to an advisory role beginning on October 1, 2026 and is expected to remain with the Company in that role through December 31, 2026. Ms. Brandt's departure will entitle her to severance benefits as described under the Company’s Severance and Change in Control Policy for Officers, a copy of which is filed as Exhibit 10.6 to the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025.
