partial redemption financial
"announced today that it has issued a notice of partial redemption for US$300 million"
Partial redemption is when an issuer repays only a portion of a debt or redeemable security issue—such as bonds, notes, or preferred shares—rather than the entire outstanding amount. It matters to investors because it changes the size of their holding and future cash flows: some holders receive cash for the redeemed portion while remaining investors retain a smaller, unchanged instrument, similar to trimming part of a loan and leaving the rest on the original terms.
senior notes financial
"US$300 million of its outstanding 5.125% senior notes due October 15, 2027"
Senior notes are a type of loan that a company borrows from investors, promising to pay it back with interest. They are called "senior" because in case the company faces financial trouble, these lenders are paid back before others. This makes senior notes safer for investors compared to other types of loans or bonds.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"This news release contains certain forward-looking statements, or forward-looking information"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
balance sheet leverage target financial
"aligned with our commitment to progress towards our stated balance sheet leverage target"

"risks relating to conditions in the financial markets and other risk factors"
