Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Namib Minerals (NAMM) reported that it has completed the dewatering programme at its Redwing Mine in Zimbabwe, the first step in a five-step restart pathway that was previously targeted for completion in Q4 2026 and has now been achieved ahead of that schedule. Completion of dewatering restores safe access to underground workings and allows underground mapping, sampling, and geotechnical and hydrological work to proceed, all feeding into the technical programme of the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). The DFS technical programme is described as fully funded through to completion and is expected to conclude in early Q1 2027, consistent with the timeline outlined in July 2026. Step two of the restart pathway, covering engineering, metallurgical, geotechnical, hydrological, environmental and financial workstreams, is underway, while later steps include resource definition and bankability drilling, construction, and a phased restart of production following a positive decision.

Definitive Feasibility Study financial
"feed the technical programme of the Definitive Feasibility Study (“DFS”)"
A definitive feasibility study is a detailed, near-final assessment that shows whether a proposed project—often a mine, infrastructure or major industrial venture—can be built and operated profitably. It combines precise engineering plans, realistic cost estimates, production schedules and risk analysis to give lenders and investors a clear picture of expected returns and potential pitfalls, like a full blueprint and budget that helps decide whether to greenlight financing and construction.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"This press release may include forward-looking statements within the meaning"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
bankability financial
"Resource definition and bankability | 8,750-metre surface exploration drilling"
The likelihood that a company, project, or asset can attract loans or investment because it is seen as low risk and able to deliver promised returns. Think of it like a borrower’s reputation with lenders: the more “bankable” something is, the easier and cheaper it is to get financing, which affects a firm’s ability to grow, complete projects, refinance debt, and its market value to investors.
fully funded financial
"The DFS technical programme remains fully funded through to completion"

Namib Minerals Completes Dewatering at Redwing Mine, Delivering the First Milestone of its Five-Step Restart Pathway Ahead of Schedule.

New York, Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Namib Minerals (“Namib Minerals” or “the Company”) (Nasdaq: NAMM), an established African gold producer with a portfolio of mining assets in Zimbabwe, today announced the completion of the dewatering programme at Redwing Mine, the first of the five steps in the restart pathway the Company set out on July 20, 2026.

On July 20, 2026, Namib Minerals published a defined five-step pathway and targeted milestone schedule for the restart of Redwing Mine, with dewatering as Step 1 and completion targeted for Q4 2026. That step is now complete, ahead of the targeted schedule.

Completion of dewatering restores safe access to the underground workings, enabling underground mapping, sampling and the geotechnical and hydrological work programmes that feed the technical programme of the Definitive Feasibility Study (“DFS”). The DFS technical programme remains fully funded through to completion and on track to conclude in early Q1 2027, unchanged from the schedule published in July.

Tulani Sikwila, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Namib Minerals, commented: “Dewatering was the gateway to everything that follows at Redwing, and we have delivered it ahead of the schedule we published. We set out a five-step pathway in July precisely so that our shareholders could measure us against it. Step one is done, step two is funded and underway, and we intend to keep reporting against that same map.”
