Transaction in own shares
Prudential
plc (the "Company")
announces today it has purchased the following number of its
ordinary shares of 5 pence each through Barclays Capital Securities
Limited ("Barclays") on the
London Stock Exchange in accordance with the authority granted by
shareholders at the Company's 2025 Annual General Meeting
("AGM"), in accordance with
the agreement entered into with Barclays, as announced on 5
December 2024.
Date of purchase: 25 June 2025
Aggregate number of ordinary shares purchased: 798,002 (ISIN
GB0007099541)
Lowest price paid per share: GBP 9.1220
Highest price paid per share: GBP 9.2260
Average price paid per share: GBP 9.1708
The
Company intends to cancel the purchased shares. Following the above
transaction, the Company will have 2,585,842,353 shares in
issue.
Therefore,
the total number of voting rights in the Company will be
2,585,842,353 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the
denominator when determining whether they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company
under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency
Rules.
All
shares were purchased from Barclays as an on-exchange transaction
subject to the rules of the London Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong
Code on Share Buy-backs.
