Insights

Tower partners with NVIDIA on faster optical links for AI data centers.

Tower Semiconductor is working with NVIDIA on 1.6T data center optical modules based on Tower’s silicon photonics platform. The company states these solutions can deliver up to double the data rate versus prior silicon photonics, targeting bandwidth-hungry AI networking workloads.

This positions Tower’s photonics and SiGe technologies within high-growth AI and data-center ecosystems, but the disclosure does not quantify revenue, volumes, or contract terms. The impact will depend on customer adoption of these NVIDIA-designed networking solutions and how much fabrication business Tower ultimately captures.
