(NYSE: EHI) is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company that seeks high current income and total return through a worldwide portfolio of securities. The fund is part of the Western Asset fund family and its common shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol EHI.

The fund’s portfolio mandate is global rather than limited to a single domestic market. Its investments may span multiple sectors, including financials, energy, industrials, materials, consumer discretionary and other areas represented in global securities markets. As a closed-end fund, EHI has publicly traded common shares and reports net asset value information that can be used in fund actions such as issuer tender offers and share repurchases.
