Western Asset Intermediate Muni Fund, Inc. (NYSE: SBI) is a diversified closed-end management investment company in the Western Asset fund family. The fund's stated investment objective is to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes. It is structured as an exchange-listed closed-end fund, with shares traded under the symbol SBI.

The fund invests primarily in municipal obligations. Under normal market conditions, it invests at least 80% of total assets in municipal obligations and at least 80% of total assets in debt securities that are rated investment grade at the time of investment, or in unrated securities that the investment manager determines to be of equivalent quality.
