"approved HUD/FHA Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) and LEAN lender"
A U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program that fast-tracks review and approval of applications for Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance on multifamily rental properties. It relies on experienced, HUD-approved lenders, standardized checklists and pre-reviewed documentation to shorten the underwriting process; for investors this means financing decisions and closings on apartment and other multifamily deals can happen faster and with less timing uncertainty, like using an express lane for a complex administrative task.

"HUD's expedited Section 232/223(f) processing"
A Section 232/223(f) loan refers to Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage-insurance programs used to finance existing healthcare and multifamily rental properties. Section 232 insures mortgages for residential care facilities such as nursing homes and assisted-living, while Section 223(f) insures mortgages for acquisition or refinancing of existing multifamily housing; together the label signals HUD-backed, long-term, non-recourse financing that affects a property owner’s cost and availability of capital. Investors care because HUD insurance changes risk, loan terms and liquidity much like a government-backed guarantee changes the rules on a mortgage.

Every HUD Firm Commitment issued on Bravo Capital's 2025 transactions ultimately reached the closing table, according to an independent analysis of HUD's loan-level records.

NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bravo Capital, a leading privately held commercial real estate lender and approved HUD/FHA Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) and LEAN lender, today announced that it ranked #1 among HUD lenders for closing reliability in calendar year 2025, closing 100% of the firm commitments it received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Arbor Realty Trust (ABR) (NYSE: ABR) also finished among the top ranked lenders.

The ranking is drawn from HUD's own database of FHA multifamily and healthcare firm commitments and initial endorsements, as analyzed by Janover in its August 2026 review of the top HUD lenders. Among the ten lenders active on both the multifamily and healthcare sides of HUD's platform, Bravo Capital was one of only three firms for which every Firm Commitment issued on its 2025 transactions ultimately closed, converting 9 of 9 Firm Commitments totaling $201 million. By comparison, the three largest HUD lenders by volume each left roughly one committed deal in ten unclosed, with conversion rates ranging from 89% to 92%.

"Volume rankings tell you who writes the most paper. Closing rate tells you who actually delivers," said Aaron Krawitz, CEO and Founder of Bravo Capital. "A HUD firm commitment is only valuable to a borrower if it closes. We screen every deal rigorously before it goes to HUD, and we stay on it through endorsement. A perfect closing record is the direct result of that discipline, and it is why sponsors and their advisors trust Bravo with their most important executions."

Bravo Capital's 2025 HUD production was split between multifamily (five firm commitments, $110.3 million) and healthcare (four firm commitments, $90.7 million), with an average commitment of $22.3 million. The firm's certainty of execution is reinforced by its Bridge-to-HUD platform, which allows Bravo to fund a transaction on its own balance sheet today and take it into a permanent HUD loan on a defined timeline, and by tools such as the HUD Express Lane Qualifier, launched in August 2026, which gives healthcare owners an immediate read on eligibility for HUD's expedited Section 232/223(f) processing.
