RMX Industries (OTCQB: RMXI) demonstrated its VAST™ (Video Adaptive Systems Technology) platform at Tough Stump Rodeo 2025 in Alder, Montana (June 2–6). The field demo showed five simultaneous HD video streams over a single L-band MANET at roughly 350–500 kbps per stream, and live drone relays over a 1.25 MHz multi-hop TrellisWare MANET for beyond-line-of-sight operations.

VAST™ is a software, standards-based AV1 encoder that runs CPU-only on low-power x86/ARM devices, integrates with TAK (including AV1 RTP in TAK v5.5), and streams via UDP multicast or RTSP across tactical bands. RMX highlighted partner integrations with drone OEMs and MANET/SATCOM providers to deliver resilient FMV, C2, and edge AI on constrained links.

6 terms
beyond-line-of-sight technical
"multi-hop, beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) TrellisWare MANET to support"
Beyond-line-of-sight describes operations where a vehicle or device, typically an unmanned aircraft or drone, is controlled or monitored when the operator cannot see it directly and relies on remote sensors, cameras or communications instead. For investors, the capability matters because it unlocks larger commercial uses—like long-distance deliveries, infrastructure inspections or surveillance—but also brings technical, regulatory and safety challenges that affect costs, market size and approval timelines.
udp multicast technical
"and streams via UDP multicast or RTSP across HF, SINCGARS,"
UDP multicast is a method for sending the same short message from one sender to many receivers at once, where UDP is a lightweight way to transmit data without waiting for acknowledgements and multicast means delivering to a group rather than a single address. Investors should care because exchanges and trading platforms often use this approach for real‑time market data feeds—it keeps latency and bandwidth low so prices reach many users quickly, but it can sacrifice guaranteed delivery, which affects trading systems and risk management.
rtsp technical
"and streams via UDP multicast or RTSP across HF, SINCGARS,"
RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) is a standardized way for computers and devices to request and control live or recorded audio/video streams over a network — think of it as a remote control and language that helps a video player talk to a camera or server. For investors, RTSP matters because companies that build streaming services, security cameras, telemedicine platforms, or related hardware/software rely on it for performance and compatibility; strong implementation affects product reliability, customer adoption, and costs.
satcom technical
"drone OEMs and MANET/SATCOM providers, RMX pairs VAST™ with"
Satcom, short for satellite communications, uses orbiting satellites as relay stations to send and receive voice, data and video between distant or hard-to-reach locations, effectively acting like cell towers in space. It matters to investors because satcom services support broadband, broadcasting, defense links and connected devices, often producing steady customer revenue but requiring large upfront costs, regulatory approvals and sensitivity to launch technology and spectrum access — all factors that influence company value.
isr technical
"from drones and ground cameras, UAS/ISR/Recce) over a single"
ISR stands for socially responsible investing (from the French phrase Investissement Socialement Responsable) and means choosing stocks, bonds or funds based on environmental, social and governance criteria in addition to financial return. Like picking a brand that matches your values, ISR matters to investors because it helps align portfolios with personal or institutional priorities, can reduce exposure to companies with regulatory or reputational risks, and can influence demand and valuation for firms deemed more sustainable.
c4isr technical
"path from pilot to program across ISR, multi-drone, and TAK/C4ISR deployments."
C4ISR stands for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and describes the networked systems that collect information, make sense of it, and let decision-makers direct forces or assets. Think of it as a military or security organization’s nervous system and traffic-control center rolled into one. Investors care because companies that build or supply C4ISR gear and software often win long-term government contracts, drive recurring revenue, and signal exposure to defense spending and technology cycles.
