"as an additional independent director, effective August 10, 2026."
An independent director is a member of a company's board of directors who is not involved in the company's day-to-day operations and has no significant relationships with the company that could influence their judgment. Their role is to provide unbiased oversight and ensure the company is managed in the best interests of all shareholders. This helps build trust and confidence among investors by promoting transparency and accountability.
fiduciary financial
"He has also held fiduciary and governance roles across numerous government"
A fiduciary is a person or organization legally required to act in another party’s best financial interest when handling money or giving investment advice. Think of a fiduciary as a trusted guardian who must choose what benefits the client rather than what benefits themselves; for investors, this reduces conflicts of interest and gives stronger protection that decisions and recommendations prioritize the investor’s financial wellbeing.
corporate governance regulatory
"financial services, law, and corporate governance."
Corporate governance is the system of rules, roles and oversight that determines how a company is directed and controlled, including the responsibilities of its board, executives and shareholders. Like the steering wheel and map for a car trip, it shapes decisions, sets checks on power and defines who can hold leaders accountable; strong governance reduces risk, builds trust and helps investors judge whether a company is likely to protect capital and deliver reliable returns.

"addressing a serious and underserved need in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma"
Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma is a rare type of skin cancer that develops when certain immune system cells grow uncontrollably, causing skin patches, rashes, or tumors. While it primarily affects health, its rarity and complexity can influence medical research funding and pharmaceutical development, which may impact investment opportunities in healthcare and biotech sectors.
