5 terms
c&i financial
"commercial and industrial (C&I) senior relationship manager"
C&I stands for commercial and industrial, typically describing loans, financing or banking services provided to businesses rather than individual consumers. Investors watch C&I activity because it shows how much banks and lenders are exposed to business demand and credit risk—similar to measuring how many business customers a supplier serves versus retail shoppers—so changes in C&I lending can signal shifts in economic activity and a lender’s revenue and risk profile.
leveraged finance financial
"experience spans capital markets and syndications, leveraged finance"
Leveraged finance is the use of large amounts of borrowed money, often through high-yield bonds or loans, to fund big moves like buyouts, acquisitions, or major restructuring. It matters to investors because the higher borrowing raises a company’s fixed payments and default risk — similar to a person taking a big mortgage to buy a house — which can amplify both potential returns and losses and influence a firm’s stock and bond safety.
asset-based lending financial
"treasury management, asset-based lending and equipment finance"
Asset-based lending is a type of loan where a borrower uses tangible assets — such as inventory, accounts receivable, equipment, or real estate — as collateral to secure credit. For investors, it matters because the quality and liquidity of the pledged assets affect the lender’s risk and the borrower’s borrowing capacity; like borrowing against items in a pawnshop, stronger assets generally mean safer loans and clearer recovery options if the borrower defaults.
treasury management financial
"leveraged finance, treasury management, asset-based lending"
Treasury management is a company's day‑to‑day handling of cash, short‑term investments, borrowing and financial risks to make sure bills are paid, excess cash is used wisely, and exposure to things like interest rates or foreign currencies is controlled. Think of it as running the company's checking account and emergency fund so operations keep flowing. For investors, strong treasury management signals that a company can meet obligations, fund growth without costly surprises, and protect value in changing markets.
acquisition financing financial
"commercial banking, leveraged finance and capital markets experience"
Acquisition financing is the money a buyer uses to pay for another company, typically drawn from cash on hand, new loans, or by selling new shares. Think of it like choosing between a mortgage, a personal loan, or crowdfunding to buy a house; each choice affects monthly costs, ownership stakes and long-term risk. Investors watch these choices because they change a buyer’s debt load, interest costs, and potential share dilution, all of which influence future returns and company stability.
