In celebration, Athleta unveils the Kristin Juszczyk-designed Train Free Sports Bra - created to empower women in motion, with proceeds supporting Komen's mission to end breast cancer.

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Athleta, a Gap Inc. (NYSE: GAP) company and leading women's performance activewear brand, is honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In a powerful new collaboration, Athleta has teamed up with renowned fashion designer Kristin Juszczyk and Susan G. Komen®, the world's leading breast cancer organization, to reimagine the Train Free Bra, blending innovation, purpose, and style to inspire women to prioritize their breast health.

Juszczyk, known for transforming athletic wear into statements of identity, brings her design vision to this collaboration. The Athleta X Kristin Juszczyk Train Free Bra features the phrase 'Check These Out' along the front band in pink. A playful double entendre designed to spark conversation and encourage women to get themselves checked, and to remind others in their community, to do the same.

"This collaboration is incredibly personal to me. I lost my mom after her courageous 14-year battle with breast cancer, and not a day goes by that I don't carry her strength with me," said Kristin Juszczyk. "Partnering with Athleta, a brand rooted in empowering and uplifting women, has made this experience deeply meaningful. And with Athleta based in the Bay Area, a community I now proudly call home, this project feels even more special. It's more than fashion; it's a tribute to my mom and a call-to-action for women everywhere to take care of themselves and each other."

13% of the proceeds from the sales of the limited-edition bra will be donated to Komen, to fund lifesaving breast cancer research, advocacy, and patient support services. 13% represents the approximately 1 in 8 women in the U.S. that will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Experts suggest one-third of U.S. breast cancer deaths could be preventable with universal access to modern treatments. The Athleta Train Free Bra is one of several bra styles compatible with Athleta's Empower Mastectomy Bra Insert; specially designed in collaboration with a breast cancer surgeon to support women in feeling comfortable and confident throughout their active journey post breast surgery.

"At Athleta, we believe in showing up for women, for our communities, and for causes that matter," said Maggie Gauger, CEO of Athleta. "Together with Kristin Juszczyk and Susan G. Komen, we're turning purpose into action — promoting early detection and fueling progress in the fight to end breast cancer."

To further support the critical work of Susan G. Komen, Athleta has also donated $100,000 in support of Komen's long-standing Race for the Cure and MORE THAN PINK Walk fundraising events in New York and San Francisco. Athleta, a brand deeply connected to the power of movement, is proud to support the collective strength and solidarity these events represent—bringing communities together in action, remembrance, and hope for a future without breast cancer. According to research cited by Susan G. Komen, women who get regular exercise have a 10%-20% lower risk of breast cancer than women who aren't active. Juszczyk will participate in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk, in San Francisco on October 5, speaking at the opening ceremony and walking in solidarity with survivors, thrivers and supporters.
