issuer default ratingregulatory
An issuer default rating is a credit score assigned by a rating agency that expresses how likely a company or government is to miss interest or principal payments on its debt. Investors use it like a reliability grade or weather forecast for credit risk: a higher rating signals lower chance of loss, can make borrowing cheaper, and helps decide whether bonds or debt-linked investments are worth the risk.
idRregulatory
idr is the three-letter currency code for the Indonesian rupiah, the unit of money used in Indonesia. For investors, it’s the label that tells you prices, earnings and debt are quoted in that currency — like a price tag showing dollars or euros — and movements in the idr affect the value of local assets and cross-border returns, creating currency risk or opportunity when converting to another currency.
recovery ratingregulatory
A recovery rating is an estimate of how much money creditors or investors are likely to get back if a company defaults or enters bankruptcy, usually shown as a percentage or a simple grade. It matters because it helps investors gauge downside risk and potential losses—like knowing how much value you could salvage from a broken appliance—so higher recovery ratings generally mean less expected loss and influence bond prices and lending decisions.
abl credit facilityfinancial
An ABL credit facility is a loan where the borrower uses tangible assets—like unpaid customer invoices, inventory, or equipment—as collateral to secure borrowing capacity. Think of it like a business pawning its goods to get cash; the amount available rises and falls with the value of those assets. Investors watch ABLs because they affect a company’s short-term liquidity, borrowing limits, and the lender’s priority claim if the company runs into financial trouble.
senior secured term loanfinancial
A senior secured term loan is a type of borrowing where a company borrows money and promises to pay it back over a fixed period, with the loan secured by the company's assets as collateral. Because it is "senior," it has priority over other debts if the company faces financial trouble, and being "secured" means lenders have a claim on specific assets. For investors, this makes the loan a safer and more predictable investment compared to unsecured or subordinate debts.
senior unsecured notesfinancial
Senior unsecured notes are a type of loan a company borrows from investors, promising to pay back with interest. They are called "unsecured" because they aren’t backed by specific assets like buildings or equipment, but "senior" because they are paid back before other debts if the company gets into trouble. Investors see them as a relatively safer way for companies to raise money.
rating outlookregulatory
A rating outlook is an analyst or credit agency's short- to medium-term prediction about whether a current credit or stock rating is likely to improve, worsen, or stay the same. It matters to investors because it signals potential changes in risk and value—like a weather forecast for a credit or share, helping investors prepare for possible downgrades, upgrades, or stability that could affect prices and borrowing costs.
COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Installed Building Products, Inc. (the “Company” or “IBP”) (NYSE: IBP), an industry-leading installer of insulation and complementary building products, announced today that Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") has assigned IBP a first-time Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of ‘BB+’. Fitch has also assigned a ‘BBB-’ rating with a Recovery Rating of ‘RR1’ to IBP’s ABL credit facility, a ‘BBB-‘/’RR2’ rating to its senior secured term loan, and a ‘BB+’/’RR4’ rating to the Company’s senior unsecured notes.
