By adding title analytics, portfolio diligence, and real estate document generation capability, Stewart enhances its capital markets and servicing capabilities

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE: STC) today announced it has acquired ProTitleUSA (ProTitle) and DocSolutionUSA (DocSolution), two companies that together provide a comprehensive suite of title, mortgage related documents and due diligence services that support servicers, investors and capital markets clients throughout the real estate and mortgage lifecycle.

“Both of these companies bring specialized expertise that aligns with Stewart’s long-term strategy for our centralized title services,” said Fred Eppinger, Stewart CEO. “Together with our existing offerings these businesses expand our scale in title services, strengthen our lender and servicer offerings for investors and capital market clients and add innovative analytic and document generation capabilities that are highly complementary to our existing platform.”

due diligence financial
Due diligence is the careful investigation and analysis someone conducts before making a decision, such as investing money or entering into an agreement. It’s like researching thoroughly before buying a used car to ensure it’s in good condition; this helps prevent surprises and makes informed choices. For investors, due diligence reduces risk by verifying details and understanding what they’re getting into.

servicers financial
Servicers are businesses that manage financial assets on behalf of owners or investors, most commonly handling loan portfolios like mortgages, consumer or commercial loans. They collect payments, maintain escrow accounts, enforce terms when borrowers fall behind, and provide regular reporting to investors. For investors, servicers matter because their efficiency and practices directly affect cash flow, default handling and the administrative risk of the underlying assets—like a building superintendent keeping a rental property running for absentee owners.
