quarterly cash dividend financial
"its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share"
A quarterly cash dividend is a payment made by a company to its shareholders four times a year, usually based on its profits. It is like a regular bonus or reward for owning the company's stock, providing shareholders with income. Many investors see these payments as a sign of the company's stability and its ability to generate consistent profits.
shareholders of record financial
"dividend of $0.17 per share to shareholders of record on September 1, 2026"
Shareholders of record are the people officially listed as owners of a company's stock on a specific date. This matters because only these shareholders are entitled to receive dividends or vote at company meetings. It's like being on the official guest list for a party—you get to enjoy the perks and have a say.
net interest income financial
"Loan and deposit growth remained solid, net interest income improved"
Net interest income is the difference between the interest a financial institution earns on loans and investments and the interest it pays on deposits and borrowings. It matters to investors because it is a primary source of profit for banks and similar firms — like the gross margin on a store’s trade — and changes with loan growth, deposit costs and interest rates, so it signals core earning power and sensitivity to rate moves.
fee income financial
"momentum across our payments business, contributing to both fee income growth"
forward-looking statements regulatory
"MVB Financial has made forward-looking statements, within the meaning of Section 27A"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
