GOGO was up 1.1% while key telecom peers (e.g., CABO, IDT, LILAK, LILA, CCOI) also showed single-day gains, but none appeared in the momentum scanner and sector_momentum flagged no coordinated move. This points to stock-specific catalysts rather than a sector rotation.
Historical Context
| Date | Event | Sentiment | Move | Catalyst |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan 05 | Product progress update | Positive | +4.0% | Year-end progress on Galileo antennas, 5G ATG, and FCC program. |
| Dec 29 | 5G launch news | Positive | +1.5% | Completion of 5G ATG flight testing and launch to first customer. |
| Nov 06 | Q3 2025 earnings | Positive | -13.1% | Strong revenue growth and reiterated 2025 guidance with net loss detail. |
| Nov 03 | 5G testing start | Positive | -3.2% | Start of next-gen 5G ATG flight testing and service activation plans. |
| Oct 27 | Federal contract win | Positive | -3.8% | Five-year sole-source federal airborne satcom contract for SD Government. |
Recent history shows mixed reactions: modest gains on product/technology progress, but notable selloffs on seemingly positive earnings and contract news, suggesting a tendency for investors to fade good news.
Over the last few months, Gogo reported multiple connectivity milestones and one earnings release. On Oct 27, 2025, SD Government won a USD $3 million federal airborne communications contract, yet the stock fell 3.79%. Subsequent 5G ATG testing and launch updates on Nov 3 and Dec 29 saw smaller moves of -3.19% and +1.52%. The strong Q3 2025 report on Nov 6 coincided with a -13.07% drop, while a 2025 product “report card” on Jan 5, 2026 was followed by a 3.99% gain. Today’s AMC T-1 certification fits the pattern of operational progress at a depressed share price level.
Market Pulse Summary
This announcement secures AMC T-1 certification for SD Government’s RO/RO TRASC BLOS satcom solution across C-130 variants, expanding Gogo’s presence in defense and government connectivity. It follows a recent USD $3 million federal contract and multiple 5G ATG milestones, reinforcing a trajectory of government and broadband wins. With shares near the $4.44 52-week low and below the $9.66 200-day MA, investors may watch how defense adoption translates into revenue and margins over time.

SINGAPORE, Feb. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SD Government, (SDG) the division of Gogo (NASDAQ: GOGO) providing satellite communications to global governments, has received US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) T-1 certification for the Roll-on/Roll-off (RO/RO) Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Tactical Removeable Airborne Satellite Communications (TRASC) capability for C-130 aircraft.
The T-1 certification will provide multiple satcom options, beginning with a Gogo Plane Simple Ku-band terminal, and subsequently expanding to offer a Gogo Plane Simple Ka-band terminal, and other network compatibilities to C-130 operators. The TRASC hatch is designed to match the outer mold line of the original Lockheed L-382 design for the C-130, making it suitable for all C-130 variants. Electromagnetic interference/electromagnetic compatibility testing has been completed on the C-130J – Block 6 and latest Block 8 standards – and legacy C-130H, for compatibility across the AMC fleet. The AMC T-1 Military Flight Release paves the way for sister commands and partner nations, including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and others to implement the Roll-on/Roll-off capability immediately.
Developed with R4 Integration, Inc. (R4), specialists in airborne and ground systems engineering, the TRASC BLOS solution integrates a Gogo Plane Simple® terminal within the Multi-Purpose Hatch System (MPHS) designed and patented by R4 to replace the existing C-130 standard forward escape hatch. The purpose-built housing has been optimized for installation in less than 30 minutes, enabling immediate plug-and-play global broadband capability from the airframe.
C-130 variants requiring additional testing will benefit greatly from the AMC certification, as testing timelines and expenses will be reduced. In addition to the AMC fleet, the RO/RO TRASC system is ideal for Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Civilian Cargo Fleets, and international C-130 units as well as US Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), US Marine Corps, US Navy, and the US Coast Guard.
“We are proud to deliver a platform that gives military forces much-needed situational awareness to support global command and control decisions. It also makes the C-130 much more resilient and consistently connected during training and operational missions,” says Hayden Olson, Executive Vice President of SDG. “This capability instantaneously brings all C-130 variants into the modern age of high-throughput Beyond-Line-of-Sight communications.”
