Insights

September traffic rose modestly: total terminal passengers +0.9% month-over-month (Sep 2025 vs Sep 2024); Jan–Sep cumulative +3.6%.

What it means: GAP reported a small increase in total terminal passengers to 4,401.9k in September 2025, up 0.9% versus September 2024, with year-to-date traffic at 47,808.4k (+3.6%). Domestic traffic led the monthly gain (+3.3% domestic) while international traffic declined (-3.2%), so overall growth is driven by domestic demand.

Why it matters: Seats available rose 1.3% but load factor edged down from 81.0% to 80.7%, indicating capacity was increased slightly faster than demand growth, which can mute near-term revenue per available seat. Airport-level dispersion is relevant: tourist hubs show mixed results (e.g., Puerto Vallarta +2.6%, Los Cabos -4.8%), implying uneven recovery across markets.

Headline assessment: the data show modest, broadly neutral operational progress rather than a clear positive shock; monitor monthly passenger and load‑factor trends for consistent improvement.
