Insights

Volaris posted mixed November operational metrics: higher capacity and traffic but a slight load-factor decline to 85.3%.

Consolidated ASMs rose 5.8% while RPMs climbed 3.9%, producing a year-over-year load-factor decline of 1.5% to 85.3%. Domestic RPMs edged up 0.6% on a 3.4% ASM increase, which lowered domestic load factor by 2.4% points; international RPMs grew 9.2% alongside matching ASM growth, keeping international load factor roughly flat at 79.6%. Passenger counts increased 5.0% to 2.7 million in the month, showing demand expansion despite the load-factor mix.

Key dependencies and risks include the pace of aligning capacity to demand and sustaining cross-border recovery. The capacity uptick outpaced RPMs, causing the load-factor dip; if capacity management tightens, unit revenue pressure could ease, but if demand softens, the trend could worsen. Watch monthly ASM vs RPM trends, domestic load-factor recovery, and international yields over the next two quarters (Q1 2026) as indicators of whether demand will absorb planned growth.
