Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Indonesia Energy Corporation Limited (INDO) reports that it has discovered good quality oil during testing operations at its newly drilled K-29 well in the Kruh Block on Sumatra. The K-29 well was spud on July 25, 2026 and has reached a total depth of 3,378 feet, with production operations expected to commence in the next couple of weeks.

The company highlights that the perforation gun, used under Pertamina-approved perforation targets, was naturally bleeding oil, a result it notes has not occurred in prior Kruh Block wells and which may allow natural production without fracturing. The well was drilled with zero lost time injury or environmental, health or safety incidents. The drilling rig has been mobilized to the WK-5 wellsite to continue the 2026 drilling program. Management plans to provide an operational update and take live questions in a YouTube Live presentation on September 3, 2026.

Positive

  • Oil discovery at K-29 well in Kruh Block with testing showing good quality oil and indications that the well may naturally produce without fracturing, potentially enhancing project economics and validating drilling efforts in this key asset area.

Negative

  • None.

Filing Explained

The report states that this Form 6-K and its press-release exhibit are incorporated by reference into the company’s effective F-3 shelf registration statement and outstanding prospectuses, subject to later filings that supersede them.

Kruh Block technical
"good quality oil during testing operations at the newly drilled K-29 well at Kruh Block"
Citarum Block technical
"exploration plans at Citarum Block and other statements that are other than"
perforation gun technical
"Of particular note to the K-29 well is that the perforation gun used"
A perforation gun is a tool used in oil and gas well completions to make controlled holes through the well casing and surrounding rock so hydrocarbons can flow into the wellbore. Think of it like a precision drill that creates passages for oil or gas; its effectiveness influences how much a well can produce, the cost and timing of bringing a well online, and safety or operational risks that matter to investors tracking production and capital spending.
lost time injury technical
"the well was drilled with zero lost time injury or other environmental"
A lost time injury is a workplace injury or illness that is serious enough to keep an employee away from work for at least one full shift or day after the incident. Investors track these injuries because they act like a company’s safety scorecard: higher rates can mean production delays, higher medical and insurance costs, regulatory scrutiny and reputational damage, all of which can affect profitability and stock value.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"contain certain ‘forward-looking statements” made pursuant to the safe harbor"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.

Forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, statements regarding our or our management’s anticipations, expectations, hopes, beliefs, intentions or strategies regarding the future (including, without limitation, with respect to the Company’s drilling plans AT Kruh Block and exploration plans at Citarum Block) and other statements that are other than statements of historical fact. Should one or more of risks or uncertainties related to our forward-looking statements materialize, should any of our assumptions prove incorrect, or should we be unable to address any of the factors which impact our forward-looking statements, our actual results (including those related to our drilling program at Kruh Block and our exploration plans at Citarum Block) may vary in material and adverse respects from those projected in these forward-looking statements. Consequently, there can be no assurance that actual results or developments anticipated by us will be realized or, even if substantially realized, that they will have the expected consequences to, or effects, on us. Given these uncertainties, prospective investors are cautioned not to place undue reliance on such forward-looking statements.

JAKARTA, INDONESIA AND DANVILLE, CA, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 - Indonesia Energy Corporation (NYSE American: INDO) (“IEC”), an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Indonesia, today announced that IEC has discovered good quality oil during testing operations at the newly drilled K-29 well at Kruh Block. K-29 was spud on July 25, 2026 and recently reached a total depth of 3,378 feet.

IEC also announced that actual production operations at K-29 are expected to commence in the next couple of weeks. Of particular note to the K-29 well is that the perforation gun used pursuant to Pertamina’s (Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company) approved perforation targets was naturally bleeding/seeping oil, which is typically viewed as a very good result. This has not been the case in previous wells at the Kruh Block. and the well may begin natural production without a fracturing procedure. IEC expects to gain further data and information as production operations commence. Additionally, the well was drilled with zero lost time injury or other environmental, health and safety incidents.

The drilling rig used at the K-29 well has now been mobilized and is on its way to the WK-5 wellsite to drill that well in continuation of IEC’s planned drilling operations for 2026.

Both K-29 and WK-5 are located within IEC’s approximately 63,000-acre Kruh Block on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.

As previously announced, IEC will host a YouTube Live presentation featuring its President, Frank Ingriselli, on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. Eastern time/9:15 a.m. Pacific Time.
