Silvaco (NASDAQ:SVCO) has announced a strategic R&D collaboration with Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology (ISIT) to advance Gallium Nitride (GaN) device development. The partnership will utilize Silvaco's Power Devices Solution for Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO).
Fraunhofer ISIT will implement Silvaco's design tools, including Victory TCAD™ platform, Utmost IV™, and SmartSpice™, to accelerate prototyping in post-CMOS processes for GaN and MEMS technologies on 8-inch wafers. The collaboration supports the EU Chips Act initiative through ISIT's participation in the APECS pilot line.
