The stocks that gained the most from their close one year ago to their latest close, on split-adjusted prices. It is a point-to-point figure, so a stock that sat flat for months and then jumped can rank above one that climbed steadily.

About Stock Rankings

StockTitan ranks US stocks over several timeframes and on several measures, from price gains and market cap to dividend yield and the short interest FINRA publishes twice a month. They cover US-listed stocks, and because each ranking is built from a different query, each page states the universe and the filters behind its own figures.

The gains boards use split-adjusted closing prices, so a split or a reverse split does not show up as a gain or a loss. They are price returns: dividends are not added back.

These boards do not share one update cadence, so each card states its own. The movers preview follows the momentum alert board and refreshes within the delay your tier reads it at. The gains, market cap and dividend boards are rebuilt from closing prices, so they change once the session they cover has settled. Short interest comes from FINRA, which collects positions twice a month and publishes each file seven business days after its settlement date, so those two cards name the settlement date they are showing rather than today's. Every card closes with the day its own figures are from, because a page stacking data of different ages cannot state one age for all of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q How often does each ranking on this page update?
A

They do not share one cadence, which is why each card carries its own badge. The movers preview follows the momentum alert board and refreshes at the delay your tier reads it with, currently 15 min. The gains, market cap and dividend boards are rebuilt from closing prices and change once a session has settled. Short interest comes from FINRA, which collects positions twice a month and publishes each file seven business days after its settlement date, so those cards are showing the settlement dated Oct 15, 2026. Each card closes with the day its own figures are from, because a page stacking data of different ages cannot state one age for all of it.

Q Do all these rankings cover the same set of companies?
A

No, and the differences are larger than they look. The three gains boards and the dividend board admit companies above $100 million in market capitalization on NYSE, Nasdaq and NYSE American, and even those four differ on the window: the 52-week board needs a close a full year back, the year-to-date board needs only one close inside the year, and the dividend board admits only companies with a recent or scheduled payment. The market-cap board is wider than all of them, applying no size floor at all and including over-the-counter listings, which is why it holds several thousand more companies. The movers board is different again, with no size, price or venue requirement and only symbols that crossed an alert threshold. A count taken from one card never carries over to another.

Q Why does a company with two tickers appear once on the market-cap card?
A

Because each share-class row already carries the capitalization of the whole company priced at that class, so the classes of the same SEC registrant are chosen between rather than added: the class with the most recent trading session is shown, then the one with the higher volume. The card applies the same rule the full ranking does, so the preview and the page it previews cannot show a different number of companies.
