Top Financial Services Stocks by Revenue

Top financial services companies ranked by revenue, latest annual filings.

What Revenue Means for Financial Services Companies

Revenue in financial services is more nuanced than a single top line suggests. For banks it typically combines net interest income, the spread earned between loans and funding, with fee income from advisory, trading, asset management, and payments. For insurers it reflects earned premiums and investment income. The mix matters because each stream responds to rates, credit cycles, and markets in very different ways.

Why It Matters in Financial Services

Revenue captures the scale of a firm's balance sheet and franchise reach, and a diversified top line often cushions performance through rate and credit cycles. Still, revenue says little about loan book quality, since interest income can look robust right up to the moment credit losses arrive. Reading revenue without reserve, capital, and credit metrics alongside it can flatter a lender just before a turn.

What to Read Alongside

Pair revenue with Net Income to see earnings after credit losses and operating costs, Return on Equity for capital efficiency across the balance sheet, and Net Margin for the bottom-line yield on each revenue dollar.

How this ranking is built

Companies are ranked by revenue as reported in their most recent annual filing with the SEC. Figures shown are in US dollars (or percent, as noted), rounded to two decimals.

  • Source: annual 10-K / 20-F filings from companies trading on US exchanges (NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX).
  • Fiscal year: whichever annual period the company has most recently filed. Fiscal years don't always align with the calendar year, so the "as of FY" stamp above reflects the most common year across the table.
  • Filtered out: warrants, preferred shares, and duplicate listings that share a parent company's financials.
  • Update cadence: refreshed as companies file new annual reports (typically within 60–90 days of fiscal year end).
